Contemporary Design
Stone Stackers is a contemporary design project that explores the intersection of artisanal craftsmanship, material storytelling, and sustainable furniture design. At its core, the project is an ode to marble—more specifically, to the fragments often forgotten or discarded during the production of architectural elements.
Each creation is the result of an imaginative design approach that celebrates imperfection and asymmetry. Our sculptural furniture are composed entirely of reclaimed marble slabs, assembled with precision and intention. The artist duo behind Stone Stackers reinterprets what was once rejected into bold, experimental compositions that are as functional as they are emotionally resonant.
This is not just design—it is a quiet rebellion against waste. A tribute to the raw and timeless beauty of natural stone, reborn through contemporary vision.
The making
Every Stone Stackers piece begins with the search for discarded marble—off-cuts, broken slabs, or irregular remnants that are typically considered unusable. We hand-select each element based on its texture, color, and potential to be reimagined.
Once chosen, these fragments are composed into unique combinations—without the addition of other materials. The entire object is made of 100% marble, allowing the material to tell its own story. The process is guided by instinct and balance, akin to sculpture design.
Each object is assembled and refined italian maestry, giving new purpose to each stone fragment while honoring its origin. The result is a series of collectible marble furniture that are both sustainable and emotionally powerful—functional objects that carry history into the present.
